Something New
Avi, Nighteyes, Fateduel, and myself have made a commitment to art.
The rules:
1) Write at least 1,000 words of new fiction a day for the month of January
2) This does not include notes, outlines, character sketches, etc. Only fiction that goes into a longer work will count toward the word count to be submitted.
3) Post a word count total at the end of each day for the remainder of January.
4) Never stop writing.
We will embark on this mission in order to write and keep each other accountable for writing.
At the end, hopefully, we will at least have some fiction that we can be proud of.
If nothing else, we will have something solid to look back on and judge ourselves by.
Onward, my fellow artists.

This is my unofficial first word-count: 2,182. For the whole five days. Yup, I pretty much suck.
But the real reason I am commenting is to find out how we work this. Do we each do all-new posts for every word-count update? So basically one short post a day?...Or what?
Don't worry about sucking. I'm at ..oh, 1000 something. That's right, I'm so lame I don't even know what my word count *is*. Buckets upon buckets of fail.
Yeah, I think we should do like one short post a day, perhaps with word count and maybe a short excerpt we are really proud (or absolutely unproud) of. What thinks all?
