Announcement for Vala-kun
I realize it's kind of ridiculous to have a separate post for a simple conveyance of information for one person, but I wanted to make sure it didn't get lost in the comments.
I won't be making it to Sakura-con after all, Vala. You can pass that on to Washu, too. Turns out I have to go home for the first half of Spring Break and leave for the second half... *tear*

Aww...not cool. Sorry to hear you won't be making it. I think Daphne will be the hardest struck by your inability to be present though as its her first con and she will probably need as many people as she can get to keep her interested. Will your sister or father be coming down then or are they similarly unable?
I'll be the first to say that Daphne has my condolences. It was hard for me to stay entertained and interested through the entire thing. I did have a good time, but it was wearing at times.
And the headaches... bring a water bottle and some pills, eh?
Both Washu and I lost interest at times last year. Its a lot to take in. I'm pretty sure Daphne will want to disappear down to the waterfront shopping areas at some point and we may even join her. I'm beginning to think of this more as a weekend for the three of us to spend time together...it just so happens that it'll be at a con.
I realize this is completely lame and idiotic, but I couldn't pass it up:

Actually that would be my friend Washu. She's hangin out with a con tomorrow. Isn't that right Daphne?

Ah you've met her, she was one of the people who went to the Japanese restaraunt when we all got dressed up together. Our single friend who used to live here in Portland but now lives in Walla Walla and knows Avi and Butter.
Oh, and yeah - My Dad and both my sisters are going to be there, along with two of my sister's friends from Cali.
Well we all wish the two of you were coming with but I guess we'll just have to cope. We'll try to find your family and friends while we're there.
That is if finals don't kill me before I get there.
